Storage
NAS – SAN (iSCSI or Fibre Channel) – Local S3 – Unified (or Converged) Storage

- Storage OS (StoneFusion) installed on dedicated high performance flash drives – independent of storage stack
- Four-tier storage with support for high speed flash drives (dedicated drives for OS & drives for hot tier data), enterprise SAS, and cloud storage
- Built-in 64-bit high performance RAID controller
- Additional PCI slots vary depending on solution, appliance model, and series.
- Standard iSCSI for SAN, S3, and unified storage with support for optional Fibre Channel upgrade
Note: Cloud connect services are not supported for SAN appliances. To get a cloud-capable SAN, get unified storage.
High Availability Storage Appliance Architecture

- Dual storage controller chassis with storage OS
- HA RAID expansion array with active/active RAID controllers
- Storage OS (SCVM) installed on dedicated high performance flash drives – and self-hosted on the hypervisor
- Four-tier storage with support for high speed flash drives (dedicated drives for OS & drives for hot tier data), enterprise SAS, and cloud storage
- Support for thousands of additional drives (with EBODs). Number of supported drives vary depending on appliance series and model.
- Additional PCI slots vary depending on solution, appliance model, and series.
- Standard high speed iSCSI ports with support for optional Fibre Channel upgrade
- Cloud connect to Azure, AWS, other S3 clouds, and private cloud (real-time replication supported for private cloud)
Note: Cloud connect is not supported for SAN appliances. If you’re looking for cloud capable HA SAN, you can get HA unified storage (USO-HA).
